I'm with Fred! Speed is OK- mine goes up to 80 fairly well (80-plus downhill with a tailwind...), but I'm most comfortable at about 65 mph. Interstates are OK, but most car/truck drivers aren't that careful, so I'd rather limit my exposure to them by staying on smaller roads. Wind is certainly an issue (my HD friends love to watch me get buffeted about in winds which don't really seem to affect them alot) (of course, I get my revenge monthly when its time to write out those payment checks!), but it is not prohibitive. Plus, if you stay on the state roads/back roads, you'll get to twist and turn alot more. (I'm in Oklahoma and sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get to turn again....).
